3RD ANNUAL CHRISTMAS CONCERT

Lexington Area Community Choir: Performances will be Friday evening Dec. 11 and Sunday afternoon Dec. 13th at the Middle School Auditorium.

Practice Schedule: Nov. 12 - Christian Church; Tuesday, Nov. 17th - Methodist Church; Monday, Nov. 23rd - Presbyterian Church; Tuesday, Dec. 1st -  Christian Church;  Tuesday, Dec. 8 - Middle School Auditorium. LIBRARY HAPPENINGS

Story time will meet on Monday, November 9th at 7 p.m. and Tuesday, November 10th at 10 a.m. Story time is for children ages 3-6 and their parent or caregiver.

Lapsit will meet on Wednesday, November 11 at 10 a.m. Lapsit is for children ages birth-3 and their parent or caregiver.

Oh My, It's Time For Pie with Nancy Klammer. She will be at the Lexington Public Library on Thursday, November 19th at 7 p.m., come join us for a short entertainment presentation on the history of the humble pie from ancient Egypt until today. Pie and coffee will be served at the program. Program is funded by the Library Memorial Fund and the Lexington Community Foundation.

Lexington Public Library will be closed on Wednesday, November 11th in observance of Veteran's Day, we will reopen Thursday, November 12th at 9 a.m..

FLAG RETIREMENT CEREMONY

Lexington Boy Scout Troup 88 will conduct a flag retirement ceremony on Sunday, November 8 at Heartland Museum of Military Vehicles starting at 3:30 p.m. There ceremony, which is open the public, will take place on the south side of the museum facility, located near the Lexington I-80  interchange. American flags in

need of retirement may be left with Heartland Museum or brought to the ceremony. For more information contact Troop 88 Scoutmaster Randy Veatch at 324-2565 or Heartland Museum Director Gary Gifford at 324-6329.

CHRISTMAS PARADE

Lexington Lighted Christmas Parade will be held on Tuesday, December 8th at 6 p.m. Parade entries must be in by Monday, December 7th. Entry forms can be picked up at the Lexington Area Chamber of Commerce, 302 E. 6th St., Suite 2 or call 324-5504.

VETERANS'S DAY ACTIVITIES

Tuesday, November 10th - 7 p.m. - Veteran's Day Patriotic Music Program - presented by Lexington High School Music Department - Lexington Middle School Auditorium; Wednesday, November 11th - 10 a.m. - Coffee & Roll Reception at Heartland Museum of Military Vehicles - event sponsored by Lexington Chamber Military Affairs & Ambassadors Committees - Rolls & Coffee by Pinnacle Bank; 11 a.m. - 11th Hour Salute - Heartland Museum of Military Vehicles; 11:30 a.m. - Veteran's Lunch - Park Avenue Estates; 1:00 p.m. - Veteran's Day Program - Lexington Middle School Auditorium; 4 p.m. - Veteran's Day Parade - Downtown Lexington. COATS FOR KIDS

Heartland Family Chiropractic needs your help with this year's Coats For Kids on November 9th - 20th. Mac's Creek Winery & Vineyards will be having a business after hours on Friday, November 20th from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.
